Fire weather risks remain elevated in southern Lake County due to gusty winds and low humidity.

Inland: Sunny, with a high near 78. Calm wind becoming north 5 to 8 mph in the afternoon.
Along the Coast: Sunny, with a high near 59. Light and variable wind becoming north northwest 5 to 9 mph in the afternoon.
TONIGHT:
Inland: Mostly clear, with a low around 44. North wind 5 to 8 mph becoming calm after midnight.
Along the Coast: Partly cloudy, with a low around 47. North wind 5 to 9 mph becoming light north northeast after midnight.
Extended Forecast: This weekend, temperatures will be warmer, even along the coast, with highs reaching into the upper 60s to low 70s on Saturday. The inland areas may cool slightly on Sunday as a weather system approaches from the Pacific Northwest, bringing cooler temperatures and the return of marine clouds along the coast. Rain is possible late Sunday into Monday, especially in northern areas like Del Norte County, but it will likely be light, with Humboldt and Trinity Counties receiving moderate rain and little to none expected in Mendocino and Lake Counties.
