Frost is possible in colder valleys like northern Mendocino, where temperatures dropped to around 33°F this morning. A brief chance of light rain or sprinkles is possible in Del Norte and northern Humboldt this afternoon.

Inland: Patchy fog before 8am. Otherwise, partly sunny, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 73. Light north wind increasing to 8 to 13 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 18 mph.
Along the Coast:
Patchy fog between 8am and 11am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 58. Light and variable wind becoming north 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.
TONIGHT:
Inland: Areas of frost after 5am. Otherwise, mostly clear, with a low around 35. North wind 5 to 9 mph becoming calm in the evening. Winds could gust as high as 18 mph.
Along the Coast: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 45. North wind 5 to 8 mph becoming calm in the evening.
Extended Forecast: Mild and dry conditions will continue through the week. A weak cold front will bring breezy conditions to coastal areas and higher elevations tonight, especially in Del Norte and Lake counties, with wind gusts reaching 20-30 mph. Temperatures will remain cool, with frost likely in interior areas like Humboldt and Mendocino early Thursday morning. The weekend and early next week are expected to bring cooler and wetter weather, with rain chances increasing, particularly in Del Norte. Strong winds and low humidity are also expected, but some areas in southern Mendocino and Lake counties may see little to no rain.
