NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE REPORT

SYNOPSIS:  A weak weather system will bring near normal

temperatures, coastal clouds and a slight chance for afternoon

mountain thunderstorms. Clearing skies and slightly warmer

temperatures are expected Thursday and Friday. Continued seasonal

temperatures and dry weather are expected into next week.

TODAY: 

Inland: Mostly cloudy through mid morning, then becoming sunny, with a high near 70. Calm wind becoming south southwest around 6 mph in the afternoon.

Along the Coast: Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 60. Calm wind becoming northwest 5 to 9 mph in the afternoon.

TONIGHT:  

Inland: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 45. Light northwest wind.

Along the Coast:  Partly cloudy, with a low around 43. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light and variable.

Extended Forecast: A weakening upper-level low off the central California coast is bringing mid-level clouds and a slight chance of interior mountain thunderstorms before drier, cooler air moves in. Northerly winds will help clear coastal clouds north of Cape Mendocino, while areas farther south remain overcast. By Thursday, easterly winds aloft and returning offshore flow will bring mostly clear skies and cooler morning temperatures, with frost possible in Trinity County valleys. A weak front Saturday may bring coastal fog and cooler temperatures to the north, but overall, the forecast remains dry with near to slightly above normal temperatures through early next week.

The next low tide will be at 7:41 pm. .  The next high tide will be at 3:05 pm..The waning gibbous moon set in the  southwest at 8:11 am.    According to the solunar theory, today is a bad day for fishing, the fish activity forecast is low, however, this is just a chance so we encourage you to take your rod and try it during these solunar periods.
