SYNOPSIS:  Coastal clouds, seasonal temperatures and mostly dry

weather expected into early next week. A warming trend will bring

high temperatures at or slightly above climatological norms.

Expect periods of breezy afternoon northerly winds this weekend and

next week.

TODAY: 

Inland: Patchy fog before 11am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 72. Light west southwest wind.

Along the Coast: Patchy fog before 11am. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 63. Calm wind becoming west around 6 mph in the afternoon.

TONIGHT:  

Inland: Patchy fog after 2am. Otherwise, mostly clear, with a low around 45. Calm wind.

Along the Coast:  Patchy fog after 8pm. Otherwise, partly cloudy, with a low around 43. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening. 

Extended Forecast: An upper trough moving through the Great Basin into the Four Corners will bring a warming trend to interior valleys through the weekend, with highs in the mid to upper 70s and some 80s. Coastal areas will remain cooler in the 60s, with reduced stratus coverage due to increasing northerly winds. A mostly dry front will bring a slight chance of coastal drizzle or light terrain-enhanced showers Saturday. Gusty northerly winds, especially along ridges and coastal headlands, may peak over 35–40 mph this weekend, with breezy conditions lingering into early next week before easing midweek with a possible shortwave trough and slight rain chances.
