SYNOPSIS:  Chance of thunderstorms over the interior of Northwest California through Friday. Storms may produce gusty outflow winds, heavy rain and hail. Interior thunderstorms will be possible over the weekend, primarily on Sunday.

TODAY: 

Inland: Sunny, with a high near 91. North wind 9 to 11 mph. 

Along the Coast: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 63. Light northwest wind becoming north northwest 5 to 9 mph in the afternoon.

TONIGHT:  

Inland: Partly cloudy, with a low around 55. North wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light in the evening.

Along the Coast: Cloudy, with a low around 56. Northwest wind 3 to 7 mph. 

Extended Forecast: Thunderstorms are expected again Friday, mainly in the northern Trinity Mountains and along the far eastern edges of Del Norte and Humboldt counties near the Siskiyou border. Storm chances drop off Saturday as drier air moves in, but another round of showers and thunderstorms may return Sunday, along with cooler temperatures and gusty winds. Early next week looks calmer, but inland temperatures could rise by mid-to-late week, with some valleys possibly hitting 100°F. More thunderstorms could develop late next week if a low-pressure system sets up off the coast.

The next high tide will be at 5:28 pm,  at 5.5ft.  The only low tide of the day will be at 10:48 am, at 2.5 ft. The First Quarter moon will emerge in the southeast at 2:25 pm. According to the solunar theory, today is a good day for fishing, the fish activity forecast is high.
