SYNOPSIS: Warmer trends and the possibility of heat risk by the end of the week are to be expected as ridging sets in and high pressure becomes the prevailing trend. A gradual drying and warming trend will develop this week, with further warming late in the week along with low relative humidity.

Inland: Sunny, with a high near 86. Light and variable wind.
Along the Coast: Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 65. Northwest wind 3 to 8 mph.
TONIGHT:
Inland: Clear, with a low around 49. North wind 3 to 8 mph.
Along the Coast: Increasing clouds, with a low around 51. North wind 3 to 6 mph.
Extended Forecast: High pressure will gradually rebuild this week, bringing drier weather, more sunshine, and a steady warming trend following the light weekend rain. Coastal stratus and fog will become less persistent at night, while inland valleys heat up, with the best chance of reaching over 100°F by Friday. A brief disturbance on Wednesday may slightly slow the warm-up, but the overall trend is toward hotter conditions by late week into the weekend. There’s also a small chance that some monsoonal moisture sneaks in from the southeast this weekend, which could bring isolated thunderstorms, though current odds remain low.
