SYNOPSIS: Isolated thunderstorms are possible on Wednesday afternoon over the Trinity Horn. Generally cooler and calmer conditions will build for the end of the week with some more afternoon sun possible for the coastal areas.

TODAY: 

Inland: Sunny, with a high near 90. South southwest wind 3 to 8 mph.

Along the Coast: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 65. West southwest wind 3 to 7 mph.

TONIGHT:  

Inland: Mostly clear, with a low around 51. West southwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Along the Coast: Patchy fog after 11pm. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 52. West wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Extended Forecast: After some thunderstorms in Trinity County Tuesday evening, only light rain was recorded, though some areas likely saw heavier showers. A deepening marine layer is keeping coastal areas cloudy and cooler, with only patchy fog expected. Thunderstorm chances drop significantly on Wednesday, though isolated storms may still pop up in far northern Trinity County, along with some wildfire smoke and haze. Looking ahead to next week, the weather is uncertain—some models suggest hotter, drier conditions, while others indicate cooler, unsettled weather may continue.
