SYNOPSIS: Thunderstorm chances have decreased, but up to 20% chance remains over Trinity County this afternoon. Cooler interior temperatures and a deeper marine layer are expected Thursday and Friday. Temperatures will then trend warmer through the weekend and into early next week.
TODAY:
Inland:Sunny, with a high near 87. North wind 8 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph.
Along the Coast: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 63. Light northwest wind becoming north northwest 5 to 10 mph in the morning.
TONIGHT:
Inland: Increasing clouds, with a low around 52. North wind 8 to 13 mph becoming light after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 18 mph.
Along the Coast: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 52. North northwest wind 5 to 9 mph becoming calm after midnight.
Extended Forecast: Thunderstorm activity has mostly quieted down since Tuesday, though a few isolated storms could still pop up this afternoon in parts of eastern and northeastern Trinity County. Coastal areas will stay cooler and cloudier due to a deepening marine layer. A weak weather system moving in Thursday may bring a very small chance of storms, mainly in the northeast, along with gusty winds. Temperatures will cool through Friday before warming again over the weekend as high pressure builds back in.
