SYNOPSIS: Slight chance for rain today with cooler interior temperatures. Thunderstorms are possible in the interior, especially later in the week.
TODAY:
Inland: Mostly sunny, with a high near 84. North wind 6 to 8 mph.
Along the Coast: A 20 percent chance of rain before 11am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 63. Northwest wind 3 to 7 mph.
TONIGHT:
Inland: Partly cloudy, with a low around 52. North wind 5 to 8 mph becoming calm in the evening.
Along the Coast: Cloudy, with a low around 53. North northwest wind 3 to 7 mph.
Extended Forecast: A weak cold front is moving through Northern California, bringing a chance of light rain, mainly along the coast and in northern inland areas. While most spots won’t see much, a few could get up to a tenth of an inch of rain. Thunderstorms aren’t likely at first, but by midweek, some moisture and cooler air aloft may allow for isolated storms, especially in Siskiyou County and nearby regions. There’s a small but increasing chance of thunderstorms later in the week as conditions become more favorable.
