SYNOPSIS: Isolated thunderstorm threat for Trinity, Del Norte, and NE Mendocino County continues Tuesday afternoon into the evening. Warm temperatures continue Tuesday, however, a cooling trend will keep temperatures cooling steadily through the week into the weekend.

TODAY: 

Inland: Sunny, with a high near 89. Calm wind becoming south 5 to 8 mph in the afternoon.

Along the Coast: Patchy fog before 11am. Otherwise, cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 66. Calm wind becoming northwest 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon.

TONIGHT:  

Inland: Sunny, with a high near 89. Calm wind becoming south 5 to 8 mph in the afternoon.

Along the Coast: Cloudy, with a low around 49. Northwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening. 

Extended Forecast: A weak upper-level trough moving over the area will bring a brief chance of isolated thunderstorms to Trinity County on Tuesday, with the possibility of lightning, gusty winds, and small hail. Temperatures will start cooling mid-week, with inland highs dropping from the 90s to low 80s by Friday and Saturday, offering relief after a hot start to summer. Stronger afternoon winds, with gusts of 15-20 mph, are expected to develop late in the week. This pattern will likely bring drier conditions but could pose fire weather concerns due to dry lightning and gusty winds in some areas.

The next low tide, at 3ft, will be at 5:06 pm.  The first high tide will be at 12:49 pm, at 4.1ft, and the next high tide at 10:59 pm, at 6.1ft..   The waxing gibbous moon set at 4:51 am in the southwest. Eventually, the moon will rise again in the southeast at 8:52 pm.  According to the solunar theory, today is an excellent day for fishing, the fish activity forecast is very high.
