Temperatures will start cooling mid-week, with inland highs dropping from the 90s to low 80s by Friday and Saturday, offering relief after a hot start to summer. Lastly, here are the solar and lunar phases and tidal information : Today, Wednesday, June 11th, the sun rose in Shelter Cove at 5:47am and sunset will be at 8:46pm, for a total of 14 hours and 59 minutes of sunlight. The next low tide, at 3.1ft, will be at 5:43 pm. The first high tide will be at 1:32 pm, at 4.3ft, and the next high tide at 11:33 pm, at 6.1ft. The full moon set at 5:36 am in the southwest. Eventually, the moon will rise again in the southeast at 9:48 pm. This full moon is also known as the Strawberry Moon. And while it is not rare, occurring annually in June, this year’s Strawberry Moon was particularly rare due to its coincidence with a major lunar standstill. This standstill happens every 18.6 years, causing the moon to appear unusually low in the sky. This Strawberry Moon is the lowest full moon since 2006 and won’t appear this low again until 2043
