SYNOPSIS: Near to slightly above normal temperatures expected intoblate week. Breezier winds possible mid to late week, bringing elevated fire weather concerns. Much warmer temperatures possible over the weekend.

TODAY: 

Inland: Sunny, with a high near 88. North northwest wind 3 to 6 mph.

Along the Coast: Patchy fog before 11am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 60. Calm wind becoming northwest 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon.

TONIGHT:  

Inland: Partly cloudy, with a low around 52. North wind 5 to 8 mph. 

Along the Coast: Cloudy, with a low around 51. North wind around 7 mph. 

Extended Forecast:   Warm and dry weather will persist through Wednesday across inland Northern California as a ridge builds in, with temperatures reaching the upper 80s to low 90s in interior valleys, while coastal areas remain cooler under a persistent marine layer and patchy fog. Daytime humidity will drop to 15–25%, raising fire weather concerns, particularly in Lake, Mendocino, and Trinity counties, despite only moderate winds. Breezy northwesterly winds are expected to continue through late week as weak upper-level disturbances move through. Looking ahead to the weekend, hotter temperatures nearing triple digits may return, with a slight chance of dry thunderstorms depending on the placement of an offshore upper-level low.
