SYNOPSIS: Drying and warming trend today through the remainder
of the week. Breezy northwest winds are anticipated each afternoon.
A weather system will bring cooler temperatures, gusty winds and a
slight chance of rain Saturday. Windy conditions continue Sunday
with warmer temperatures next week.
TODAY:
Inland: Partly sunny, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 68. North wind 6 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph.
Along the Coast: Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 58. North northwest wind 8 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph.
TONIGHT:
Inland: Patchy fog after 5am. Otherwise, increasing clouds, with a low around 45. North northwest wind 8 to 13 mph becoming light north after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 21 mph.
Along the Coast: Increasing clouds, with a low around 44. North wind 7 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph.
Extended Forecast: High pressure continues to build along the West Coast, bringing clear skies, light inland winds, and areas of patchy dense fog overnight in sheltered valleys. A warming and drying trend will persist through Friday, with inland highs reaching the 70s to low 80s, while coastal areas stay cooler in the upper 50s to low 60s. A weak cold front arriving Friday night into Saturday could bring light showers—mainly to Del Norte County—and increased winds, raising fire weather concerns. Next week, inland temperatures are expected to climb further, with a 30–40% chance of Ukiah reaching 100°F late in the week.
