SYNOPSIS: .A couple weak systems to periodically increase

cloud cover and present low chances for a few showers or light

drizzle through Saturday. Breezy northwest winds are anticipated

through the afternoons, with increasing strength Saturday and

especially Sunday.

TODAY: 

Inland:  Mostly sunny, with a high near 73. North wind 6 to 11 mph.

Along the Coast: Partly sunny, with a high near 59. Light northwest wind becoming north northwest 6 to 11 mph in the afternoon.

TONIGHT:  

Inland:  Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around 46. North wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light in the evening. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.

Along the Coast: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 45. North northwest wind 5 to 9 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Extended Forecast: A weak warm front will move through the region today, bringing light drizzle or sprinkles mainly to the Far North Coast and Del Norte County, while coastal stratus increases tonight. A stronger shortwave trough will follow on Saturday, bringing a slight chance of light showers—though the likelihood of wetting rainfall remains low. Breezy northerly winds will strengthen over the weekend, especially along the coast and interior ridges, with gusts possibly exceeding 35 mph south of Cape Mendocino. Patchy interior frost is possible Sunday and Monday mornings, primarily in Trinity County, with mainly dry and warmer conditions expected early next week.
