SYNOPSIS: Cooler conditions expected through Friday. Another period
of warm temperatures and high pressure this weekend before and
another chance for light rain Sunday into Monday.
TODAY:
Inland: Sunny, with a high near 75. Calm wind becoming north northwest 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon.
Along the Coast: Mostly sunny, with a high near 60. Light north northwest wind increasing to 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.
TONIGHT:
Inland: Patchy fog after 5am. Otherwise, partly cloudy, with a low around 47. North wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the evening.
Along the Coast: Increasing clouds, with a low around 48. North northwest wind 5 to 9 mph becoming calm in the evening.
Extended Forecast: A broad upper trough to the north is maintaining zonal flow over the Pacific Northwest, with limited impact due to dry conditions at lower levels. Marine stratus will redevelop along the Humboldt coast overnight, with light drizzle possible Friday morning as a weak front moves through. Friday will be cooler and breezier, particularly along the coast, while thunderstorm chances in eastern Trinity County continue to diminish. Temperatures will rebound over the weekend with high pressure building, potentially reaching the mid-80s in interior valleys before another weak system brings a slight chance of rain early Monday.
