Extended Forecast: A low-pressure system offshore is slowly shifting toward the Pacific Northwest, which will help deepen the marine layer and keep the coast cloudy and cooler, while the inland areas remain warmer. By late Thursday into Friday, drizzle or light coastal rain becomes possible, with a slight chance of pockets of heavier showers. Looking ahead to Sunday night into Monday, a stronger system could bring more widespread rainfall, especially to Del Norte, Humboldt, and Trinity Counties, with a good chance for meaningful totals there.
