SYNOPSIS: Drizzle and stratus continues to blanket the coast. Interior temperatures trend downward into the weekend. Wet weather possibly returns late Sunday into early next week, with multiple chances of rain.

TODAY: 

Inland: Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 88. Light and variable wind. 

Along the Coast: Patchy drizzle before 11am. Patchy fog before 2pm. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 65. Light and variable wind.

TONIGHT:  

Inland: Partly cloudy, with a low around 53. North wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Along the Coast: Patchy drizzle and fog between 8pm and 11pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 55. Light north wind. 

Extended Forecast: A weather pattern shift is bringing a series of weak storm systems to the area, increasing the chance of coastal drizzle through the weekend and leading to cooler temperatures, especially inland. Some light rain is possible starting Sunday, with a low chance of thunderstorms as a larger weather system moves in early next week. Rainfall totals could exceed an inch in far northwest areas, but will be much lighter further south. Expect cloudy skies to persist along the coast, with limited afternoon clearing and cooler-than-normal temperatures continuing into midweek.
