Kick Off Summer with “Zoo Quest,” a Family-Friendly Fundraiser at Sequoia Park Zoo Supports Local Families in Need

EUREKA, CA — Looking for a fun and meaningful way to kick off summer with the whole family? Join us for the first-ever Zoo Quest fundraiser, benefiting the Community Access Project for Eureka (C.A.P.E.), on Saturday, June 28 th from 5-8pm at Sequoia Park Zoo.
This event invites kids and adults alike to explore wildlife conservation, local ecology, and community giving — all while enjoying a fun evening outdoors. Geared toward children ages 5 and up, Zoo Quest features five interactive activity booths with hands-on experiences such as animal education, habitat
exploration, and even making your own fern mat up on the Sequoia Park Sky Walk. Attendees can pick up an adventure map to collect stamps at each booth, and earn a prize for completing all activities! Each booth also offers an opportunity drawing with entry available for purchase, along with information about C.A.P.E.’s programming.

In addition to the booths, guests can enjoy:
 Food for purchase from local vendors
 Beer, cider, and non-alcoholic refreshments
 Access to the Sequoia Park Sky Walk
All proceeds support C.A.P.E.’s essential programming for local families experiencing financial and/or housing instability. These include the Grab & Go Pantry at the Uplift Eureka Community Resource Center, the Little Bottoms Program, and seasonal family events like Halloween, birthday, and winter
holiday celebrations.
“This event is about bringing the community together for fun and connection, while also supporting local families with the resources they need to thrive,” said Jeff Davis, Special Projects Manager. “We’re excited to partner with the Sequoia Park Zoo to combine wildlife education with supporting
the people we serve.”
Tickets are $5 per person and will be available for purchase at the door. The event is rain or shine and fully accessible for guests using wheelchairs or mobility devices.
Don’t miss your chance to have fun and support C.A.P.E. — all in one wild and wonderful evening!
