SYNOPSIS: Some light showers will linger Thursday behind a front.

Building high pressure will dry bring dry weather, above average

interior daytime highs, and chilly overnight lows.

TODAY:  

Inland: A 30 percent chance of rain, mainly between 10am and 1pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 57. Calm wind becoming north northwest 5 to 7 mph in the morning.

Along the Coast: A 30 percent chance of rain. Mostly sunny, with a high near 55. Northwest wind 8 to 11 mph.

TONIGHT:  

Inland: Patchy fog after 10pm. Otherwise, increasing clouds, with a low around 37. Light and variable wind.

Along the Coast: Mostly clear, with a low around 48. North northeast wind 10 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph.

Extended Forecast: Moderate to locally heavy rainfall ended late Wednesday as a cold front passed, leaving behind a chillier airmass with chances for interior frost and freezing temperatures overnight, which is close to normal this time of year. Fog is likely over the next few mornings, especially in interior valleys, reducing the risk of frost or freeze where fog develops. High pressure from the west will warm interior temperatures this weekend, with daytime highs above 65°F most likely on Saturday. Another weather system may arrive early next week but is expected to clip only far northern areas, with significant precipitation chances not forecast until mid to late next week.​
