Pastels on the Plaza

River Oak Charter School is pleased to once again be presenting the Pastels on the Plaza event at Alex R. Thomas Plaza in downtown Ukiah on May 4th, 2024. The main event runs from 10am to 3pm with traditional maypole dances open to all at 9am.

This annual event transforms the plaza into a charming festival scene of dance, food, live music and most importantly- plein air pastel art supported by the joint effort of local businesses and over 100 artists. Throughout the day the event will have a variety of performances. Some of which will be Maypole dances, live bands, Capoeira Force das Aguas, and Ballet Folkloric. The event will have booths and vendors with raffles, carnival games, merchandise, and educational activities. There will be a variety of food and drinks available for purchase including BBQ from the Lions Club.
