Membership Yard Party

KMUD’s Fall Membership Drive reaches its culmination on the weekend of September 22nd and 23rd with back-to-back parties you won’t want to miss!

Friday, September 22nd, 2 PM – 8 PM Join us at the KMUD station in Redway for the Membership Yard Party. This is your chance to make a meaningful donation, join in the celebration of KMUD’s incredible journey, and groove to the tunes of Mama Grows Funk from Mendocino and discover

Louis Michot. Louis Michot is best known as the fiddle player and lead-singer for the Grammy award winning Lost Bayou Ramblers, but his passion for Louisiana French and local folklore, and sustainability in the fastest disappearing landmass in the world are what fuels his career as a musician.

Local talents will kickstart the festivities with performances by Dreams on Fire, Marcia Mendels and Chris Manspeaker, Tony Nester and Chris Brannon.

Our fantastic president and host of “Homegrown Tomatoes,” Nadine, will treat us to her delectable lasagnas. Whether you prefer grass-fed beef, vegetarian, or gluten-free options. KMUD’s inclusivity extends to our food offerings, as much as to our airwaves offerings! As always, we’ll have mouthwatering baked goods prepared by our volunteers and their moms, a selection of KMUD merchandise available for purchase, and the warm community spirit that defines KMUD. For the young and young-at-heart, we’ve also arranged some fun games courtesy of Mendocino Adventure Ropes Course.

Saturday, September 23rd, 2 PM – 6 PM The celebration continues with “50 Years of Hip Hop” on Saturday, September 23rd, from 2 PM to 6 PM. Get ready to groove to the beats and immerse yourself in the rich history of this iconic genre.

Mark your calendars for this unforgettable weekend of music, community, and support for KMUD – your voice on the airwaves! We can’t wait to share these special moments with you.
