Child abduction and drowning case in Eureka now in DA’s office for review

According to a release from the Eureka Police Department:
On March 6, 2011, at about 12:16 PM, Officers of the Eureka Police Department were dispatched to the Bonnie Gool public dock at Halverson Park to investigate a reported child abduction. After an extensive multi-agency ground and water search, the child was located by divers in the waters next to the dock. Following this, on March 10, an autopsy was conducted on the child and the initial Pathologist’s findings were found to be consistent with drowning; however, laboratory results are still pending. Then on March 28 the report concerning this investigation was hand-delivered to the Humboldt County District Attorney’s Office for review of possible criminal charges.
