Fallen trees force road closure on portion of Briceland Road

On Friday, March 18, two large redwood trees fell damaging portions of Briceland Road west of the Whitmore Grove. Since that time, changing conditions in the area have led to various traffic restrictions on that stretch of roadway.
According to one source, the hope is to have Briceland Road open to one-way controlled traffic again by Monday, March 28, morning, therefore allowing school buses also to have access. During periods when Briceland Road is closed, access may be obtained by using Old Briceland Road. Bear in mind that Old Briceland Road must be used with caution, especially during this time of year. A set of photos, posted to the KMUD News Flickr stream shows the conditions shortly after the trees fell. The photos were taken by Felix Omai and can be viewed by clicking here.
