PG&E planned outage rescheduled for Sept. 25

According to information received by KMUD News from Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E), dated August 23, 2011:

A new date has been selected for the Garberville planned outage originally scheduled for Thursday, July 28. The outage will now take place Sunday, Sept. 25 from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. PG&E is taking steps to improve and upgrade the electric system in the area before storm season, including replacing nine poles and reconducting more than 2,500 feet of power lines. The outage will affect approximately 2,700 customers. Anyone affected will be notified through a letter.

PG&E would once again like to thank our customers in the area who voiced their concerns about original date. We understand that even a planned outage can be disruptive and inconvenient, and we will do our very best the keep disruptions to a minimum.
