Community Safety and Awareness Report for Thursday, August 18th, 2011

•The Redway Community Services District appreciates the community’s ongoing water conservation efforts.  Construction on the Infiltration Gallery is underway.

•Caltrans reports that they are continuing the re-paving project through the Avenue of the Giants this week.  They’ll be chip sealing and striping 10 miles of the Avenue, starting at the south junction with Highway 101.  One-way controlled traffic will be controlled from 7 am to 7 pm daily. 

•And, County Roads will be mowing the roadside on Briceland Road for the next couple of days, in hopes of completing the mowing project all the way to Whitemore Grove.   One-way controlled traffic is in effect.

•The Redwood Community Radio, KMUD Board of Directors will hold their monthly meeting on Tuesday, August 23rd, at 4 pm at the Healy Senior Center on Briceland Road in Redway.

•Tune in tonight at 7pm for All Things Reconsidered. That’s tonight, from 7 to 8pm, right here, on KMUD.
