Driver arrested with meth. and heroin following POP search warrant

According to a Eureka Police Department press release, dated 2/25/11:
On 2/24/11, at about 23:42 hours, Detectives with the Eureka Police Department’s Problem Oriented Policing Unit (POP) stopped a Dodge Intrepid being driven by Ana Marisela Rooney on the 1600 block of Broadway, Eureka.  Rooney, 32 of Eureka, was the subject of methamphetamine sales investigation by the POP Unit, and POP had obtained a signed search warrant for Rooney and her vehicle.

Detectives subsequently searched Rooney and her vehicle pursuant to the warrant and found nearly two ounces of crystal methamphetamine (56 grams gross weight), 2 grams of tar heroin, numerous drug packaging baggies, and a digital gram scale.  Additionally, Rooney’s cell phone contained drug sales related text messages in which various individuals appeared to be trying to purchase controlled substances from her. Rooney was arrested and transported to the Humboldt County Correctional Facility where she was booked for possession and transportation of a controlled substance for sale. Additionally, Rooney’s passenger, Cyle Warren Abbott, 20 of Eureka, was arrested and transported to the Humboldt County Correctional Facility for a misdemeanor warrant alleging possession of a controlled substance.
